God told me to rekindle fire of holy spirit in "The Apostolic Church" - Uyeh

Pastor (Dr.) Senior Gabriel O. Uyeh (JP) has been inducted as the sixth LAWNA Territorial Chairman of The Apostolic Church Nigeria on December 3, 2023 in Lagos. Uyeh who hails from Uzere Kingdom in Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State is a force to reckon with in the affairs of The Apostolic Church till date. In this chat with Isoko Mirror during his induction ceremony held on the 3rd of December 2023 in Lagos , he x-rays The Apostolic Church.

Sir, just recently you were inducted as the sixth Lawna Territory Chairman of the Apostolic Church Nigeria,how will you describe it?
Well, it is marvelous, great and surprising to me. It is the fruit of my labour, because I have persevered in this service and the church for these decades despite the discouragement and challenges. I am very happy that God granted me this and I appreciate God. It is God’s doing and it is marvelous in my eyes.

How will you handle the current task at your disposal?
By the grace and the support of God, I will do my best. The world is getting so decayed and the church is not left out. Many evils have crept into the church.

Based on the help of God, we want to cleanse the church so that the restoration which God has promised will actually come. We are going to get restoration and elevation. God is going to make us great, if we obey what he is telling us.

What differentiates The Apostolic Church Nigeria from other churches in Nigeria?
The Apostolic Church Nigeria truly believes in the holy spirit. The leadership of the church and our ministry are solely on the holy spirit. We don’t want to join any other thing to our ministry. We have prophets in the Apostolic Church who can say thus said the Lord and we believe it and it works well with us but it is not so in other churches.

What are the core doctrines of The Apostolic Church Nigeria?
The doctrines are salvation and the people must have salvation and be saved.We have the doctrine of keeping holiness and truthfulness.The Bible says righteousness exalts a nation and we are doing our best to observe that and we are trying our best as human beings.

What are you going to do differently to promote the growth of the Apostolic Church Nigeria?
I will evangelize the more and raise more young and vibrant youths as ministers. If I can get such youths in Isoko and Urhobo in Delta State, I will elevate and utilise them. Also, I will train and recognize such youths because I am close to retirement as you are seeing me.

Will you involve the Delta State government to support you to achieve your goal?
Yes of course, Specifically, I will try my best to involve the Delta State government. I will also involve the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN)and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) because they are the bodies of the Christians.

What legacy will you leave behind?
I want the whole Apostolic Church principles, teachings and their doctrines to linger on so that when I retire, they won’t deviate from them. Any success without a successor is nothing.

Do you have any message for the members of the Apostolic Church Nigeria?
Yes of course, My message is very clear. The members of The Apostolic Church should raise the standard of the early Apostolic christians life. It is the life of holiness and the powerful movement of the holy spirit and The Apostolic Church members should raise it up. God has told me that I should rekindle the fire of the holy spirit in the Apostolic Church and that is just my homework. I will always try to raise the standard of the Apostolic Church anywhere I go.
