Agbi inspects Orere-Ovu bridge, lauds contractor for a good job

The Special Adviser to the Governor of Delta State on Project Monitoring and Audit Dr. Goodnews Agbi inspected Orere-Ovu bridge that is under construction by Obakpo Engineering Company Limited and other projects.

The Projects inspected included: Construction of Orere-Ewu bridge at Ewu Ughelli South Local Government Area, Construction of Oreh Road from Isoko junction in Ughelli North Local Government Area, Construction of Edo Road from Isoko road to Agbarho-otor.

Dr. Agbi who was accompanied by the Permanent Secretary Directorate of Project Monitoring and Audit, Mrs Esejo, Chief Francis Ighoraye (EA)

Pastor Ken Otuya(SSA)
Engr Yebu Ladina
Odio Odafe (SA) was impressed with the construction and the high level of supervision.

Dr. Agbi who was briefed by Olorogun John Oguma, the chairman of Obakpo Engineering Limited that all the supervision and construction of the bridge was carried out by Nigerian engineers and specialists.

Dr. Agbi and his team were so happy that indigenous contractor can build this parabolic bridge with perfect abutments, piers and the precast beams.

Dr. Agbi said that “If Nigerian indigenous contractors, consultants and engineers can perform this feat, then we are on the part of greatness”.

He further said that, every indigenous contractor in the Stste should strive to put up their best to align with the MORE Agenda of the Governor Oborevwori led administration.

He added that, every Civil Engineering student should try to visit the Orere-Ovu Bridge and see what indigenous Engineering company, Obakpo Engineering has achieved.

Agbi also inspected two other roads, Edo Road and Ore road from Isoko road. The contractor, Obakpo Engineering was busy working with the same high level supervision.

Dr Agbi also commended the contractor for vigorously working in all the three sites visited.
