While specific details regarding the affected individuals remain undisclosed, it has been confirmed that Musa Zgabawa Bulus, an Assistant Director at the CBN overseeing the National Collateral Registry (NCR), is among those affected by the recent decision.

The NCR, a CBN initiative, aims to enhance access to finance, particularly for Nano Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), by leveraging movable assets.
The restructuring primarily impacted deputy directors and assistant directors, with 22 individuals from the DFD (Directorate of Finance and Development) and the remaining 18 from the Medicals and Procurement Services Department being affected.
This development follows a previous round of dismissals where 27 members of staff, including directors, were affected. The recent wave of terminations brings the total number of affected employees to 67, indicating a systematic approach to organizational changes under the leadership of the Olayemi Cardoso-led Board of Governors. Among those affected in the earlier round of dismissals were eight directors, ten deputy directors, five assistant directors, two principal managers, and two senior managers.
As the CBN continues its restructuring efforts, more changes are anticipated in the days ahead, reflecting the institution’s commitment to operational efficiency and effectiveness
