‎‎Church Pastor Found Dead in Guest Room After Night Out with Married Female Worshipper.

‎Citi Newsroom reported on Saturday, September 20, 2025, that Rev. Michael Kofi Appiah, head pastor of Light of Faith Ministry in Takoradi, was found dead in a guesthouse after spending the night there with a married woman.

‎The shocking incident has sent waves of disbelief through the New Takoradi community, where the late pastor was well-known and respected.

‎According to preliminary accounts, Rev. Appiah checked into the guesthouse late that night with a woman identified as Mrs. Linda Mensah, a married congregant of his church.

‎Witnesses said the two arrived around 10 p.m., ordered food and drinks, and appeared to be in a cheerful mood.

‎“At first, it looked like a regular meeting,” explained Kwesi, a worker at the facility. “Pastors often talk to members privately, but they seemed a bit too relaxed and close.”

‎Hours later, at about 5 a.m., panic broke out when Mrs. Mensah reportedly screamed for help, saying the pastor was not responding. Staff members rushed in and found him lifeless on the bed.

‎“He wasn’t breathing,” said Afia, one of the attendants. “We tried to wake him up, but he was already cold. The woman was in tears, completely distraught.”

‎Police officers arrived soon after and began investigations. They found no immediate signs of foul play but have ordered an autopsy to establish the cause of death.

‎Mrs. Mensah was detained for questioning but was later released after giving her statement.

‎The death of Rev. Appiah has left his congregation and the wider community reeling. Many expressed sadness, while others voiced confusion over the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.

‎“This is devastating,” said a senior church member. “He preached about righteousness every week. It’s difficult to understand what really happened.”

‎Meanwhile, gossip about the nature of the relationship between the pastor and Mrs. Mensah continues to circulate, deepening the sense of shock among church members
