IDU, Warri youth wing elects officers, awaits inauguration

The Isoko Delopment Union (IDU) warri branch youth wing has elected a new Exco, awaiting inauguration.
The election held on the 15th, february, 2026 at the IDU Hall, under the supervision of the Warri IDU branch president, Comr. Amb.Wilfred Ololo Mukoro was peaceful, free and fair.


The National youth president, Comr. Joel Emeni who witnessed the election, thanked the IDU, Warri branch for organizing the branch youth for the first time and urged the new Exco to be elected to work together for the progress, betterment and development of the Isoko Nation in accordance with the Isoko National anthem.
Comr. Joel Emeni, noted that, the new Exco inauguration has been postponed till further notice, pending when some of the issues on ground are resolved with the national body and promised that, as soon as those issues are resolved, he will come back to inaugurate the new Exco for the branch.


Those elected awaiting inauguration include : Hon. Ekporo Melvins Ekemena (Mayor) Isoko North, Ogbe Kome Kingsley (Deputy Mayor) Isoko South, God bless Edigbomor(Secretary) Isoko South, Prince Otarigho(Asst.Seccretary) Isoko North, Edoja Emamoke(Speaker) Isoko South, Christopher Arakpono(Treasurer) Isoko North, Gift Agwa(Provost 1) Isoko South, Onarogbe Lucky (Provost 11) Peter Orezimena Israel (Legal Adviser) Ufuoma Joseph (Women Leader) Isoko North, Peter Oraka(PRO) Isoko North, Company Oreva(Social/Organising Sec.) Isoko South and Marieta Eloho (Asst. Organising Sec.) Isoko South.


In a chat with Newsmen , the branch president Comr. Amb. Wilfred Ololo Mukoro described the election as a success as the youth takes the bull by the horns by electing the leaders of their choice peacefully and urged the newly elected Exco to prioritize Isoko interest first with respect and loyalty to superior authorities.


The Mayor elect, Hon. Ekporo Melvins Ekemena, expressed satisfaction over the success of the election. He promised to carry everyone along in decision making without sentiment, noting that, as SA to the State Governor on community matters, he will use his good office to negotiate progress and development to Isoko Nation and urged his Exco to be calmed, stressing that everything will be alright after their inauguration.


While appreciating everyone present for the "TRUST" reposed on him and promised not to disappoint them.
