‎Dead Body Found at UI Swimming Pool as Police Launch Murder Probe.


‎The Oyo State Command of the Nigeria Police Force has begun an investigation into a suspected murder following the discovery of the body of an unidentified teenage boy at a swimming pool within the University of Ibadan.

‎According to a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Olayinka Ayanlade, the incident was reported by the institution’s Chief Security Officer after the lifeless body was sighted in the pool.

‎Police detectives who visited the scene observed disturbing signs suggesting possible foul play. Blood was seen oozing from the victim’s mouth and nose, while visible bruises were found around his nose. Investigators also noted blood stains within the pavilion area surrounding the pool.

‎Items believed to belong to the deceased, including a pair of shoes and a shirt, were recovered near the poolside.

‎The police said efforts are ongoing to identify the victim and unravel the circumstances surrounding his death.
