A dark cloud of grief has descended on Covenant University,Ota, following the shocking and heartbreaking death of a 500-level student, Toluwase Jesutunmise, who collapsed during a routine football training session on campus.
The tragic incident, confirmed by the institution’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Timothy Anake, occurred on Monday, leaving students, staff, and the wider community in utter disbelief.
Jesutunmise, described as a vibrant and dedicated student full of promise, had been actively participating in a training session when he complained of leg pain and fatigue.
