The Osun State Police Command has announced the discovery of a 70-year-old woman found wandering within the state, appealing to the public for help in locating her family.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Abiodun Ojelabi, disclosed this in a notice made available to journalists on Monday.
According to the statement, the elderly woman, identified as Shifawu Alabi, was found on April 24, 2026, and later taken to the police by a Good Samaritan.
The police said the woman was found wandering around Tiwadayo Street in Ofatedo and was brought to the station by a concerned resident.
They added that during questioning, she identified herself as Shifawu Alabi, about 70 years old, and said she is from the Oja-Oba area of Ibadan, but could not clearly explain her movement or destination.
The command called on members of the public to assist in identifying her relatives and helping reunite her with her family.
Ojelabi urged anyone with useful information to come forward to aid efforts in reconnecting the woman with her loved ones.
