Senior pastor of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has narrated an alleged attempted kidnap plot against him involving armed men who reportedly posed as security operatives.
Speaking during a sermon to his congregation, Suleman described the incident as an example of spiritual alertness and divine warning, while also urging believers to remain courageous in confronting danger and adversity.
According to the cleric, the incident began after what he described as a divine revelation warning him about a planned abduction attempt.
“The Lord said to me, ‘Some people are investing so much money because they’re trying to abduct you,’” Suleman recounted.
He explained that at the time, a former governor who was close to him often arranged helicopter transportation for him after church meetings. However, according to Suleman, the alleged kidnappers managed to divert the governor’s phone line and impersonate members of his team.
The preacher claimed the suspects contacted him pretending they had been sent by the former governor to transport him.
According to Suleman, he became suspicious but decided to cooperate while quietly alerting his own security team ahead of their arrival.
He narrated that the men eventually arrived dressed in military-style clothing and police uniforms.
“They came like soldiers. Some came dressed like policemen,” he told the congregation while describing the encounter.
Rather than confronting them immediately or attempting to flee, Suleman said he calmly invited the men into his office.
According to him, once the suspects entered the room, he instructed them to surrender their weapons before any discussion could continue.
“Drop your gun. Kneel down. Let’s pray,” he recalled telling them.
Suleman explained that while the men were kneeling, armed security personnel suddenly entered and surrounded them, preventing what he alleged could have become a kidnap operation.
He further claimed that he instructed the suspects to contact the helicopter pilot and warn him to leave the area immediately.
According to the preacher, the experience reinforced his belief that evil forces operate boldly and persistently. He used the story to encourage Christians to remain spiritually sensitive and fearless.
Suleman concluded by warning believers against complacency, insisting that spiritual vigilance, prayer, and courage are necessary in confronting what he described as satanic attacks and intimidation.
He also emphasized that faith should not produce fear, but confidence and alertness in the face of danger.
