The Federated Union of Community Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria (FUCNPN) has issued an official goodwill message congratulating Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on the anniversary of his administration’s inauguration.
In a statement released by its National Executive Council, the union lauded the Governor’s unwavering commitment to the grassroots.
They praised his widespread developmental programs driven by his signature M.O.R.E. Agenda (Meaningful Development, Opportunities for All, Realistic Reforms, and Enhanced Peace and Security).
The publishers highlighted several legacy projects that have reshaped the state's economic landscape over the last three years. Chief among these is the aggressive infrastructure drive spanning all 25 Local Government Areas. This includes extensive road and drainage networks designed to decongest high-traffic urban zones like Ughelli and Udu.
The union also pointed to the massive N1.73 trillion 2026 budget, which dedicated over 70 percent of its total allocation to capital expenditure.
This funded urban renewal efforts, the reconstruction of the Warri Township Stadium, and crucial flood control interventions.
Beyond physical infrastructure, FUCNPN commended Governor Oborevwori for his impactful, human-centric policies.
The union stated that the administration’s achievements have earned the Governor widespread national acclaim.
"As community publishers, we observe firsthand the positive impact of your administration's policies on local communities," the statement read. "Your focus on infrastructure, human capital development, and peace has brought noticeable progress to the state."
FUCNPN reaffirmed its commitment to a robust partnership with the state government and
pledged to continue practicing accurate journalism and providing extensive coverage of grassroots achievements.
