The Ijaw Women Rights’ Protection Forum, IWRPF, led by Comrade Hilda Amogha, has called on security chiefs to immediately arrest Mr. Alex Eyengho over what it described as “reckless and inflammatory statements” allegedly made against the Ijaw people.
The group further urged the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, to urgently intervene and caution Mr. Alex Eyengho to avoid a repeat of ethnic crisis in Warri and its environs.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the women’s group expressed concern over comments credited to Mr. Eyengho in which he reportedly boasted of having enough “tools” to confront the Ijaw nation. IWRPF said the remarks were provocative and capable of inciting ethnic tension in the already fragile Niger Delta.
