A man has been arraigned before a Kano Magistrate’s Court for allegedly conspiring with others to kill his father.
The suspect, Nura Usman, alongside his father’s former wife, Izzatu Aliyu, was brought before Magistrate’s Court No. 26, sitting at Nomansland and presided over by Magistrate Sakina Aminu.
They were charged with conspiracy to commit an offence and attempted murder.
Prosecuting counsel, Barrister A.I. Buhari, told the court that it was a fresh charge and sought permission for it to be read to the defendants.
The court granted the request, after which the clerk, Awaisu Jajira, read the charges to the accused persons.
Following the reading of the charges, the prosecutor requested an adjournment to enable the prosecution obtain further directives from the government.
Magistrate Yusuf granted the request and adjourned the case until September 7, 2026, for the re-arraignment of the defendants.
