The Honourable Commissioner for Works, Urban Roads and Highways, Comrade. Reuben Izeze has charged Engineers in the Ministry to live up to their game by working in line towards the realization of the meaningful development of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori's MORE agenda for the state.
Hon. Izeze disclosed this in a meeting held with the Director and Deputy Directors of the the department of Urban Roads of the Ministry.
According to him, "All hands must be on deck as all efforts must be made to see that the Ministry is at it's best in delivering on its core mandate. There must be effective and efficient supervision of jobs at all times" he said.
Comrade Izeze emphasized that all jobs are done for the good of the public, and so, it should be thoroughly executed as expected saying that, there would be hope for more jobs when they are well done.
"Lackadaisical attitude to work must be shunned at all times, as we must ensure to inspect projects personally before putting up report on them. His. Excellency, the Governor has given the right leadership, and we must emulate his uprightness and prudence in project delivery, especially in ensuring that every kobo spent by Government counts" he added.
Responding, the Director, Urban Roads, Engr. Akpotohwo Solomon thanked the Hon. Commissioner for his sterling leadership qualities, and assured him of their commitment to work very efficiently in the ministry as department of Urban Roads.
