The Isoko International Film & Cinema Festival (IIFCF) is proud to announce its landmark inaugural edition, scheduled to take place from 19th to 21st November, 2026.
Founded by Professor Emily Oghale God'spresence—a renowned film scholar, gender equity advocate, and professor of Feminist Film Theory at the University of Port Harcourt—the festival is a cultural and cinematic initiative dedicated to preserving the rich heritage, history, and identity of the Isoko people.
More than just a celebration, the IIFCF serves as a premier platform for local and international filmmakers to showcase compelling narratives that resonate deeply within the region and across the globe.
Star-Studded Jury Announced for the 2026 Maiden Edition
To uphold the highest standards of artistic excellence, the festival has officially unveiled its distinguished panel of jurors. Dr. Barthelomew Aguugo, the National Vice President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (South-South), has been announced as the Head of Jury.
He will be joined by a powerhouse team of industry veterans and cultural icons:
- Francis Duru: Veteran Nollywood actor known for his remarkable cinematic contributions.
- Professor Elo Ibagere: Distinguished scholar from the Department of Theatre Arts, Delta State University.
- Sandra Ubini: Prominent Isoko movie practitioner and CEO of Womasandy Modelling Agency, Delta State.
The IIFCF actively encourages the submission of projects that project the beauty, depth, and richness of the Isoko language and culture, giving authentic local stories a global voice.
