The former Real Housewives of Lagos star recently accused LASBCA officials of denying her access to the property after serving notices for evacuation. She also alleged intimidation by police during the process.
However, LASBCA’s Assistant Director of Public Affairs, Adu Adegoke, clarified that the demolished structures were illegal attachments. The agency stated that necessary notices, including seal-off and quit orders, had been duly served.
According to LASBCA General Manager Gbolahan Oki, the demolition was carried out without obtaining the required permits, in violation of Lagos State building codes. He also alleged that some property occupants obstructed and harassed officials during enforcement.
Oki emphasized that the viral video misrepresents the facts, aiming to garner undue public sympathy while undermining LASBCA’s commitment to urban development and regulation compliance.
"LASBCA remains resolute in ensuring safe, secure, and sustainable urban development across Lagos State. The public is urged to disregard the misleading video and support efforts toward a cleaner and more organized Lagos,” Oki stated.
