Adebusola Olanrewaju, wife of Olanrewaju Success, Nigerian boxer who died while fighting in Ghana, has cried out over the non-release of her husband’s corpse for burial, reports thegazellenews.com
Thegazellenews.com recalled that Olanrewaju Success died on 30 March, 2025 during a boxing contest in Accra, Ghana.
Since his tragic death, Adebusola lamented that all efforts to retrieve his corpse for burial have proved abortive.
Speaking through a video posted on the social media, Adebusola stated that she has made efforts to retrieve her husband corpse.
“They keep telling me that very soon his corpse will be sent back to Nigeria. Initially, they said they wanted to carry out an autopsy on this corpse. This has been done but still the corpse has not been returned,” she lamented.
She appealed to Nigerians in the position to assist to come to her aid.
“I
have not been able to do anything since he died. My parents have been responsible for the upkeep of my two children and I. I need to work to take care of my children but can’t do that with his corpse still in the morgue waiting to be buried,” she said.
