The member representing Ethiope East and West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, has distributed school materials to pupils and students across over 98 public/private primary and secondary schools in her constituency.
Hon. Ibori-Suenu said the gesture was part of her efforts to ensure that no child was denied access to education due to financial constraints
.
In a statement, the lawmaker described education as the foundation for societal progress and development, pledging continued support for initiatives that enhance teaching and learning.
“Education remains the strongest foundation for growth and progress. I will continue to support every initiative that promotes effective teaching and learning among our children, regardless of any position I hold,” she said.
Parents and pupils who benefited from the distribution expressed appreciation, describing the initiative as timely and impactful.
They also commended the federal lawmaker for her unwavering commitment to education and youth empowerment.
Speaking on the importance of the gesture, the Director of Media, Ibori-Suenu Grassroots Network (ISGN), Dr. Henry Ofa, noted that education remains the most powerful tool for breaking generational poverty.
He added that Hon. Ibori-Suenu has remained consistent in her pursuit of equal access to educational opportunities for all children in her constituency.
He thanked those persons who made the distributions a huge success and without discrimination.
