ICDU Outlines Significant Achievements, Condemns Oshimili North LG Chairman’s Dissolution Of ICP,

The President General of the Ibusa Community Development Union,ICDU, Chief Victor Uchunor during a media chat in Ibusa, outlined significant achievements made by the Union.
The media chat was part of activities lined up for this year's annual conference scheduled for saturday, April 4 at the Obi Nwaokocha Okeze Cooperative Event Center.

He emphasized the strides made in community development including security, infrastructure and social welfare programs that have positively impacted the lives of Ibusa residents.
Chief Uchunor highlighted the establishment and operational success of the Ibusa Community Police,ICP , as a critical achievement in enhancing local security and fostering peace within the community.
However, the President General expressed deep disappointment and concern over the Oshimili North Local Government Chairman's dissolution of ICP without consultation with the Obuzor, Obuzor in Council and ICDU .
He described the move as unilateral and detrimental to the security gains achieved stressing that this could undermine community trust in governance.

Chief said the that ICDU has remained steadfast in its commitment to working with government authorities and security agencies to strengthen community security and ensure sustainable development in the community.
He called in all indigenes and friends of Ibusa to actively engage with the Union 's programmes and contribute to the collective progress and prosperity of the community.
The President General announced that this year's ICDU annual conference was designed to address critical issues affecting the community among other things.
He stated that in addition to its constitutional provision for two delegates from each of the 22 branches of the union, the participation at the conference was extended to include 10 delegates from each ogbe, 20 delegates from otu ogbor, women groups,the youth and others.
The ICDU President said that unlike previous conferences, this year's event will feature lectures on some important topics adding that respected resource persons have been invited to speak on various topics including security, cultism, drug abuse, unity and progress among youths.
