‎Jimmy Cliff Dies at 81.


‎Jamaican music icon and actor, Jimmy Cliff has died at the age of 81.
‎The cause of death was a seizure followed by pneumonia.

‎Jimmy Cliff’s wife, Latifa Chambers, announced his death via a statement on Instagram.

‎“It’s with profound sadness that I share that my husband, Jimmy Cliff, has crossed over due to a seizure followed by pneumonia,” she wrote.q

‎One of the most prominent and beloved proponents of reggae music, Cliff helped to bring the sound of Jamaica to a global audience through hits such as “You Can Get It If You Really Want” and “I Can See Clearly Now”.

‎The reggae legend was also credited with popularising Jamaican culture globally, notably through his starring role in the 1972 film The Harder They Come
