The Lagos IDU, Women's Wing has elected new officers where Chief Mrs Clementina Ovuakporie was duly elected as president alongside with others.
The election held on the 15th March, 2026, at the Good Shepherd Anglican church premises, Marine beach, and supervised by the Men's Wing headed by Mr Charles Adede was free and fair without any rancour.

Chief Mrs Clementina Ovuakporie, while speaking after her election, she expressed satisfaction over the process that brought her to to lead the women.
She used the medium to thank and appreciate the men for their support and encouragement during the period under review, and promised to run an open door policy, ensuring that everyone is carried along in decision making process to enable all women of the branch to have a sense of belonging.
Other members elected alongside with her include: Mrs Helen Yusuf as 1st vice president, Prof. Mrs Pat. Erigbe as 2nd vice president, Mrs Oghenovo Doris as Sec. Gen. Mrs Victoria Ibredeni as asst Sec. Chief Mrs Josephine Ebie as treasurer, Mrs Rosemary Idhogo as financial secretary, Esther John as asst financial Sec, Mrs Grace Osima as PRO, Mrs Sogolo as asst PRO, Mrs Tessy Agari as social secretary, Mrs Margaret Onewhokae as speaker, Mrs Rose Okwa as asst speaker, Mrs Franca Ononeme as provost, Mrs Evelyn Ubuhefe as provost 2.

While the advisers include: Juliana Okedi, Mrs P. Ejetie, Oveh Comfort and Lady Omoviru while Chief Dr Mrs Janet Ofor as grand-matron, Chief Mrs Eunice Awosanya as matron and Mrs Mary Nwaru as matron.
