Senator Ned Nwoko has officially confirmed that the medical and toxicology documents circulating online about his estranged wife, Regina Daniels, are authentic.
In a detailed two-part statement signed by the Communication Team Lead in his office, the Delta North senator outlined troubling findings from several medical facilities, which reportedly showed dangerously high levels of multiple substances in Regina’s system. The statement also disclosed that Regina was rushed to a hospital unconscious on October 3 following what was described as a drug overdose.
According to Nwoko’s office, the rehabilitation centre where Regina had been receiving treatment did not deny issuing the medical reports. Instead, the facility clarified that it did not leak the documents, citing strict confidentiality regulations. The centre reportedly accused some of Regina’s siblings of sabotaging her rehabilitation by supplying her with alcohol and marijuana, making recovery impossible.
Nwoko reiterated that his insistence on consistent therapy and rehabilitation is based on genuine concern for Regina’s safety and the well-being of their two young sons.
The statement reads: “A medical report concerning Regina Nwoko has been circulating online. The reports are genuine. The rehabilitation centre only clarified that it did not publish or circulate the documents, which is expected because medical institutions must protect client confidentiality. They did not deny authoring the reports; their concern is the leak itself.
“The public is encouraged to read the full reports, because they explain the situation clearly and directly. Both the toxicology report and the Serenity Hospital report confirm the presence of the same substances, all at levels that pose serious health risks: Marijuana, Cocaine, Morphine, Opiates at extremely elevated levels, Alcohol at a critically dangerous level.
“The Nizamiya Hospital report dated 3rd October adds an even more troubling detail. She was brought into the hospital unconscious from a drug overdose. These facts are documented, consistent, and deeply alarming.
“The reports also describe the challenges the rehabilitation centre faced, including persistent interference from her siblings. They openly stated that they do not see anything wrong in giving her alcohol and weed even while she was undergoing rehabilitation, and they have continued enabling her substance use. Their actions made effective treatment impossible and remain one of the major reasons she has not been able to complete rehabilitation.
“Many have questioned why the Senator is insisting on therapy. His determination comes from the clear reality that several of Regina’s recent decisions are not coming from a stable and healthy frame of mind. She is vulnerable, unprotected, and exposed to individuals who exploit her for personal gain. Her online behaviour reflects her current struggles, and she tends to listen more to public voices than to medical professionals or her husband”. The statement read in part.
Some hours after Nwoko’s statement gained traction online, Regina Daniels took to her official social media page to share a cryptic but emotional message.
The actress wrote that she only accepts guidance from people who have lived through similar challenges. She revealed that she visited singer Tiwa Savage, whom she described as a source of wisdom and comfort.
Regina said Tiwa gifted her dollars during their conversation—an uncommon experience for her, as she considers herself “the giver.” She added that the thoughtful gesture brought the “brightest smile” to her face. She went on to hail Tiwa with endearing titles such as “mamito” and “icon.”
Regina also mentioned playfully passing along a kiss she received from Mercy Johnson, whom she referred to affectionately as her “mana.”
