Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has revealed details of a past conversation he had with Senate President Godswill Akpabio, saying he once turned down the idea of returning as a minister because he had his sights set on becoming Senate President.
According to Wike, Akpabio had told him he would eventually return to the Federal Executive Council as a minister. However, Wike said he responded by telling Akpabio, “No, I’ll run for Senate President.”
The former Rivers State governor made the revelation while reflecting on political events and the decisions that shaped his career.
