American rap star Trevor Smith Jr, better known as Busta Rhymes, got people talking online after he hinted at settling down with a Nigerian woman.
The 53-year-old rapper made these comments on Friday while performing at the Detty December Fest at Ilubirin, Ikoyi. It was his first time back in Lagos in 15 years.
Speaking to the crowd, Busta Rhymes, famous for his quick rapping and lively shows, said the trip was very personal to him and meant more than just performing.
“Even though it took 15 years, we are home. This trip was special to me because it wasn’t just about a show. I’m looking for a home here, I’m looking for property.
“I’m thinking about looking for a wife so that when I stop working, I can settle down here. But there will be a few Nigerian slash Jamaican grandchildren,” the award-winning musician said.
