A Nigerian guy has ignited an internet debate after telling how a buddy in the UK intends to help his elder brother in Nigeria start a Keke business.
The man, identified as @AnyanwuMalachy on X, stated that his friend want to purchase a tricycle, also known as Keke, for his married elder brother, who has five children.
According to him, the goal is to offer the man with a way to earn a living and support his family.
@AnyanwuMalachy clarified that before giving the Keke to his older brother, his friend wants the details of the agreement to be recorded in writing.
The elder brother would be required by the proposed arrangement to send ₦100,000 per week from the business’s profits.
Some family members apparently disapproved of the arrangement and called the UK-based man to challenge his choice.
@AnyanwuMalachy claims that although his friend presented the Keke as a chance to assist him, other family members accused him of attempting to enslave his own older brother.
According to reports, the family members questioned why the man would force his brother to make a set weekly payment since he was purportedly gifting him the bicycle to help him out financially.
The man from the UK, however, apparently justified the arrangement, claiming that his goal was not to take advantage of his brother.
@AnyanwuMalachy claims that his friend’s argument was simple.
He clarified that rather than viewing the arrangement as a free gift, the man from the UK views it as a business venture.
During the argument, @AnyanwuMalachy stated that his friend wanted to know if he had gone too far by adding a weekly payment to the Keke he intended to give to his older brother.
