‎Attack on Police Officers: Delta CP Deploys Tactical Operatives, Suspects Arrested

‎The Delta State Police Command has arrested some suspects and launched a manhunt for others following an attack on police officers at the boundary between Akukwu-Igbo and Ugbolu communities in Oshimili North Local Government Area of the state.


‎In response to the incident, the Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, CP Aina Adesola, ordered the immediate deployment of tactical operatives to the affected area to restore order and reassure residents of public safety.


‎According to the Command, operatives deployed to the scene carried out a sting operation that led to the arrest of suspects linked to the attack. The suspects are currently in custody and have reportedly provided useful information to aid ongoing investigations, while efforts continue to apprehend other fleeing suspects.


‎CP Adesola, in a firm statement, condemned the attack, describing it as unprovoked and unacceptable. He warned that assaults on police officers would not be tolerated under his leadership, stressing that the Command would decisively deal with any individual or group threatening public peace.


‎The Commissioner further declared that no extremist, secessionist, or violent group would be allowed to operate within Delta State, assuring residents of the Police Command’s resolve to maintain law and order across the state.


‎Residents of the affected communities and the general public have been urged to remain calm and cooperate with security agencies by providing credible information that could lead to the arrest of other suspects still at large. Such information can be reported through the Police Control Room via 0803 668 4974 or other appropriate channels.


‎The Delta State Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to the protection of lives and property, the enforcement of the rule of law, and the safety of all residents.
