An elderly yet to identify woman was seriously injured on Friday morning, After two suspected yahoo boys riding a power reportedly hit her in front of winners street, along Emore road, Oleh, Isoko south local Government Area of Delta state.
The woman reportedly became unconscious following the collision, sustaining severe injuries, including a twisted limb and what appeared to be an exposed bone.The two riders reportedly took the injured woman to the hospital following the incident. Her identity and current medical condition were not immediately known as of the time of filing this report.
Eyewitnesses expressed anger over the incident, insisting that those responsible must not escape justice.
The witnesses maintained that the riders should be held accountable for the incident, stressing the need for justice for the injured woman.
However, the circumstances surrounding the accident, including the speed of the motorcycle and the events leading to the collision, had yet to be independently established.
The incident has renewed concerns about road safety and the need for motorcycle riders to exercise caution when sharing roads with pedestrians.
