The General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has taken a swipe at billionaire businessman, Aliko Dangote, following yet another tragic incident involving a Dangote truck in Auchi, Edo State.
The fiery preacher took to Instagram on Sunday to lament the recklessness of the company after three lives were reportedly lost in the accident.
Tagging Dangote directly, Suleman wrote:
“@aliko_dangotecon you are not the only rich man on earth. Your recklessness in managing your business has caused harm to families and made many parents childless. Your truck just killed 3 persons few mins ago in Auchi. You give trucks to little boys who are high on drugs and untrained. This won’t go unchallenged.”
His outburst comes just days after reality TV star and former Big Brother Naija winner, Phyna, publicly accused the Dangote Group of negligence after a truck belonging to the company knocked down her younger sister, Ruth, in Auchi.
According to Phyna, Ruth had just graduated from Auchi Polytechnic six days before the accident that eventually led to her leg being amputated. The reality star expressed anger at the company’s alleged attempt to shield its drivers.
“From all that has happened, you decided to rather tell the Nigerian police to remove the plate number on the truck that crushed my sister… Na money you get, you no be God. But my God is bigger. Enough is enough,” she wrote.
Phyna Drags Dangote
Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw also joined in, demanding accountability and justice for victims of the company’s trucks.
Meanwhile, in response to the growing backlash, Dangote Cement Plc said in a statement that it has dispatched senior officials and insurers to visit Ruth and her family at Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital. The company also promised to cover her medical expenses and provide compensation in line with its welfare policy.
