The incident, which happened in the early evening, has sparked intense discussion about trust, honesty, and responsibility in marriage.
According to accounts from people familiar with the matter, the woman, identified as Ramlatu, is recently married to a working-class man who often returns home late due to the nature of his job.
Neighbours say this routine was well known in the household, and the couple often communicated by phone whenever the husband expected to delay.
On the day of the incident, the wife reportedly called her husband to ask whether he would be coming home late as usual.
The husband is said to have confirmed that he would not return early.
Seeking further assurance, the woman allegedly contacted one of her husband’s close friends, a provision store operator, to ask if her husband had passed by his shop, as he sometimes does after work.
The friend reportedly told her that the husband had not visited him that day.
Believing she had enough time, the woman is said to have invited a young man to the house.
The man is described as her former classmate from a community nursing training school.
Reports indicate that the two spent the afternoon together inside the house, including entering the couple’s bedroom.
The situation took a shocking turn between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm when the husband returned home earlier than expected.
Upon entering the house, he reportedly found his wife and the young man together in the bedroom.
The unexpected discovery led to a heated confrontation.
