‎DSS Rescues Kidnapped Police Officer in Kwara State After Three Months in Captivity.‎DSS.


‎The Department of State Services (DSS) has successfully rescued a police officer, Ibrahim Muhammad, who was held captive for three months after being kidnapped by armed men in Patigi, Kwara State.

‎Muhammad, attached to the Patigi Division, was abducted on August 10, 2025. The state police command confirmed receiving notification of his rescue from the DSS at around 5:00 p.m. on November 9.

‎Sources reported that the officer was found abandoned in a forest by his captors. He has been handed over to the police and is currently in stable condition. “He is being debriefed as part of further investigation,” the sources added.

‎The police have not disclosed whether a ransom was paid or if any arrests have been made in connection with the abduction. However, they assured the public that efforts are ongoing to apprehend the perpetrators.

‎The rescue has brought relief to both the police command and Muhammad’s family, who had endured more than 90 days of uncertainty since his disappearance.
