The Chairman of Junic Group of Companies and renowned philanthropist, Elder Acho Nonyalim, has once again demonstrated his unwavering commitment to youth and women empowerment with the presentation of vocational equipment to two young women from Isieke community in Igbuzo, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State.
The beneficiaries, Miss Awele Nonyalim and Miss Awele Ojei, received essential tools for entrepreneurship, including complete sewing machines, fabrics, fashion design materials,Generator , fabrics and complete hairdressing equipment to enable them establish and grow their own businesses.
The empowerment initiative, facilitated through the Isieke Youths Association, is part of Elder Nonyalim’s broader vision of promoting self-reliance, reducing unemployment, and creating sustainable sources of income for young people and women within the community.
Widely acknowledged as a philanthropist par excellence, Elder Nonyalim's passion for community development inspired the establishment of the Junic Foundation, an organization dedicated to training, empowering, and supporting youths with practical skills needed to become financially independent and productive members of society.
Speaking during the presentation ceremony, Bishop Peter Anene Abiagom commended Elder Nonyalim for his generosity and dedication to uplifting the less privileged. He offered prayers for God's continued protection, good health, and abundant blessings upon the benefactor, noting that "a giver never lacks."
Bishop Abiagom, who formally handed over the equipment to the beneficiaries, urged them to make effective use of the opportunity and remain focused on building successful careers through the skills they have acquired.
Also speaking, Prince Charles Inugonum, who represented his father, the Most Senior Diokpa of Umuekea, Diopka Augustine Inugonum encouraged the beneficiaries to take full advantage of the empowerment programme and strive towards becoming financially self-reliant.
In his remarks, Elder Nonyalim reaffirmed his commitment to empowering more youths across Isieke and the wider Igbuzo community. He called on well-meaning sons and daughters of Igbuzo to join hands in the fight against poverty by supporting initiatives that promote education, skills acquisition, and entrepreneurship.
According to him, empowering young people remains one of the most effective ways to secure a brighter future for the community.
I will continue to touch the lives of our youths, widows, and the elderly. Together, we can reduce poverty and create opportunities that will improve the standard of living of our people, he stated.
Community members who attended the event praised Elder Nonyalim's sustained philanthropic efforts, describing the empowerment programme as a practical demonstration of leadership, compassion, and dedication to community development.
