‎Fayose Family Crisis Deepens as Ex-Governor’s Mother Seeks Public Intervention Over Alleged Threats from Grandchildren.

‎The internal rift within the family of former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, escalated on Wednesday after the family matriarch took to social media to plead for public intervention, alleging that her grandchildren—Fayose’s children—threatened to evict her from her home.

‎This latest development comes on the heels of a viral outburst by Fayose’s sister, Bose, who publicly accused the former governor and his wife of disrespecting their mother and enabling behaviour she described as dangerous and humiliating.

‎In her post, the elderly mother claimed she was living in fear after being told she could be forced out of the house she currently occupies, which was reportedly built by her son, the former governor. She appealed to well-meaning Nigerians, traditional rulers, and religious leaders to intervene “before things get out of hand.”

‎Her plea reinforces the accusations made by Bose, who had earlier accused Fayose’s son of threatening to storm their mother’s residence and assault her. Bose said the threat was made in the presence of Mrs. Feyisetan Fayose, who allegedly failed to intervene.

‎“Your son who is a drug dealer said he would go to our mother’s house and beat her. Your long-neck wife heard all these and kept mute,” Bose had claimed in her earlier tirade, adding that the Ooni of Ife had been notified about the family’s prolonged crisis.

‎She also revealed that she had deliberately skipped Fayose’s recent birthday celebration as a result of his alleged disrespect toward their mother and accused him of attempting to blame her for not stopping their brother, Prince Isaac Fayose, during previous disagreements.

‎The mother’s latest public plea has intensified public scrutiny of the Fayose household, with many Nigerians expressing shock at the depth of the family turmoil.

‎As of press time, neither Ayodele Fayose, his wife, nor his children had issued any public statement addressing the fresh allegations.

‎The situation remains tense as the family’s private disputes continue to spill into the public arena, prompting calls for mediation and reconciliation.
