Veteran Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw, has voiced her support for Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan amid her ongoing dispute with Senate President Godswill Akpabio. Henshaw praised the Kogi Central senator for her resilience and defiance against outdated societal norms regarding women in leadership.
Sharing Natasha’s photo on Instagram, Henshaw declared her as her “Woman Crush Wednesday” (WCW) and highlighted the struggles women face in governance. She emphasized that society often attempts to silence women, but history proves that women are just as strong, if not stronger, than their male counterparts.
Henshaw wrote: “We quickly forget how far we have come. Society tells us we are weak and incapable, imposing submission through religion, tradition, and cultural norms. But do you not know that in nearly all species, the female is far deadlier than the male? We are the offspring of countless women warriors!”
Her comments come amid heated discussions over Akpoti-Uduaghan’s allegations and conflicts within the Senate, as she continues to challenge the status quo in Nigeria’s political sphere.
