‎Football : Nigerian Youngster, Orlando Bernard Shines  in Germany.



‎Nineteen year old footballer, Orlando Bernard is in the news in Germany, where he plays for SV Concordia in the City of Plauen.


‎The youngster, a product of Maro-Kana Football Academy, Warri in Delta State


‎already has two goals to his credit in five matches and a “Player of the Week” Award in the on-going 2025/2026 Season.


‎Football commentators in local news outlets in Germany, as gathered by Our Reporter, have described Orlando Bernard as a rising star, whose scintillating form marks him out as a national asset.

‎Our Reporter scooped that the young Orlando who, before his trip abroad, was under the tutelage of coach Mene Paul, now with NPFL side, Warri Wolves FC, was spotted by a businessman, politician and philanthropist, Engineer Orobosa Uzuazomaro Ashakah, who voluntarily sponsored him to several football trials in Serbia, Lithuania, Czech Republic before scouts settled for him in Germany as a starting point.


‎It is hoped that with good self-discipline, hard work and resilience, the young


‎Orlando will not only earn an engagement with a big professional club side, but will also be in the radar of football authorities in Nigeria, as his progress is being monitored.
