Funke Akindele, Toyin Abraham, and Joke Silva are among the members of the entertainment committee for the national women mega empowerment and rally 2026.
The rally is an event organised by the federal ministry of women affairs.
Tagged ‘The Power of 10 Million: One Voice! One Movement!! One Choice!!!,’ it is described as a convergence of leaders driving significant movements for women, families, and national development in Nigeria.
The rally is scheduled to take place on May 5 at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.
In an Instagram post, the organisers stated that the entertainment committee will drive cultural and creative engagement at the rally.
“As we count down to The Power of 10 Million: One Voice! One Movement!! One Choice!!, we proudly present the Entertainment Committee, the committee charged with bringing energy, culture, creativity and unforgettable moments to this historic national gathering,” the post reads.
“Responsible for planning and coordinating engaging and memorable entertainment experiences, this distinguished committee will help set the stage for 10 Million Women to gather on May 5th, 2026 at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, for the mother of all empowerment rallies.
“This is more than entertainment, this is the spirit of the movement in motion.
“Celebrating women. Showcasing culture. Inspiring a nation through creativity and unity.
“The Entertainment Committee is set to help deliver the Power of 10 Million in grand style. Be Part of This Movement.”
The Entertainment Committee includes notable individuals from the film industry.
The chairpersons are Rahama Sadau, Eniola Badmus, Ngozi Okoh, and Tola Akerele.
Other committee members include Rukkaiya Mohammed, Aisha Humairah, Rashida Maisaa, Halima Oyelade, Funke Adesiyan, Fausat Balogun (Madam Saje), Toyin Adegbola, Fati Niger, Remi Oshodi, Sola Kosoko, and Esther Wright.
Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, wife of the Lagos State governor, Hannatu Musawa, Rachael Umahi, and Ramatu Tijani are among the chairpersons of the general committee.
