Timilehin Ajayi, Gospel singer, who is on trial for the alleged murder of his 24-year-old girlfriend, Salome Adaidu, was seen praying in court on the morning of the hearing.
The hearing resumed yesterday as part of the ongoing legal proceedings surrounding Salome’s death.
Timilehin was arrested on January 12 in connection with the killing of Salome, a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member who was serving at Nicon Insurance in Abuja.
Salome was reportedly murdered during a visit to Timilehin’s residence in the Papalana area of New Karshi, Karu Local Government Area, Nasarawa State.
Authorities had apprehended the culprit while he was allegedly attempting to dispose of the victim’s dismembered body.
During questioning, he reportedly expressed no remorse and accused Salome of repeatedly being unfaithful.
However, a recent video which captured him in prayer while at the court has now gone viral, with many sharing their opinions over his act.
