A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Joe Igbokwe, on Sunday said the actions of Islamic scholar, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, suggests that he’s above the law.
Igbokwe said Gumi is speaking in favour of bandits like he is their commander.
Posting on X, he wrote: “Is Sheik Gumi above the law? I have heard him speaking in favour of the bandits. I have seen him having a meeting with well armed bandits.
He speaks as if he is their commander. His actions and deeds suggest that he is above the law.”
Gumi had been very vocal since the airstrikes carried out by the United States in Sokoto State.
The airstrikes which were conducted in collaboration with the Nigerian government were targeted at ISIS and Lakurawa terrorists.
