‎Historic Appointment as Edo Police Unveils Eno as First Female PPRO.

‎The Edo State Police Command has broken new ground with the appointment of its first-ever female Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Eno Nkereuwem Ikoedem, marking a historic shift in the command’s public communication leadership.

‎ASP Ikoedem formally assumed duty following the approval of her posting by the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun. Her appointment signals a new era for the command, introducing a fresh voice backed by strong academic grounding, rigorous training, and diverse operational experience.

‎A native of Akwa Ibom State, ASP Ikoedem was commissioned in 2022 after completing a demanding five-year programme at the Nigeria Police Academy, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in English. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in English at the National Open University of Nigeria, reflecting her commitment to continuous professional development.

‎Her training portfolio includes specialised courses in combat operations, counter-terrorism, forensic analysis, basic detective work, and leadership development across various elite police training institutions in Nasarawa, Jos, and Kano.

‎Since joining the force, ASP Ikoedem has built a reputation for discipline and versatility, having served as Divisional Traffic Officer at Adesuwa Division, Administrative Officer at Evbuotubu Division, and Officer-in-Charge of both the Crack Squad and Confidential Unit under the Edo State Command’s Department of Operations. Until her latest posting, she worked as Deputy PPRO to two consecutive spokespersons, a role that sharpened her public engagement and communication skills.

‎Her appointment has been warmly received within the command, where she is expected to strengthen police–public relations and deepen engagement through traditional and digital channels.

‎ASP Emmanuel Nyokema, Administrative Officer, announced the appointment on behalf of the Edo State Command’s Public Relations Department.
