Mutale, Limpopo – A 27-year-old man accused of killing a rape victim linked to a self-proclaimed pastor appeared briefly in the Mutale Magistrate’s Court outside Thohoyandou on Monday. The case was postponed to next Tuesday, 2 December, for further proceedings.
Andani Madzhie faces charges of murder in connection with the death of 26-year-old Ndinainwi Mabuke at Thengwe village last month. Mabuke was reportedly killed before she could testify in the rape trial against Phathutshedzo Sikhuba, widely known as prophet Muritho.
Court documents indicate that Madzhie was remanded in custody following his appearance. The prosecution has signalled its intent to present further evidence linking him to the murder, while the defence requested additional time to prepare for the case.
