‎How DSS Arrests Doctor Supplying Drugs to Kidnappers in Kwara.

‎Security operatives have taken a medical doctor into custody over allegations that he supplied medical items to kidnapping gangs operating in Kwara State.

‎According to the Kwara State Government, the arrest followed an intelligence-led operation that tracked the suspect’s movement from Sokoto State to the North-Central region.

‎In its statement released on Friday, the government confirmed that DSS operatives intercepted the doctor at Jebba in Moro Local Government Area after he was linked to a syndicate that reportedly delivers medical supplies to armed groups.

‎Further details from the state’s announcement indicated that preliminary findings showed the suspect was allegedly transporting drugs meant for kidnappers hiding in forest areas across the state.

‎The security agency, the statement added, believes the criminal groups have become increasingly desperate for medical assistance, especially for gunshot injuries sustained during clashes with security forces.

‎Reports from security sources suggest that the arrest forms part of a broader national crackdown aimed at disrupting the logistics channels that support kidnapping networks.

‎They also noted that bandits have been seeking access to professional treatment for serious wounds, prompting authorities to monitor the movement of medical supplies more closely in high-risk corridors
