A soldier man on Sunday, October 12 allegedly stabbed to death a young man simply identified as Ugo in the presence of his younger brother and cousin after he was beaten,molested and assaulted.
The sdier stabbed him in the deceased whose wife is heavily pregnant in the hand and gave him a very deep cut in his rib which bulged out.
The deceased who is in his early thirties(30)was confirmed dead in a hospital where he was rushed for medical treatment.
The incident occurred at about 7pm after Plantation City Estate near Otokutu Community in Ughelli South Local 10Government Area of Delta State.
Delta State Police Public Relations Officer,SP Bright Edafe in a WhatsApp message sent to Our Correspondent in Warri said,"We received the complaint, that's all I can say for now."
Narrating how the unfortunate incident occurred,an eyewitness and younger brother of the deceased identified as Toshi said himself with his cousin and deceased were in his car to see a friend of his at an estate after Plantation City.
Ac ordknh to him,"When reaching the estate gate,there were two cars in front of us. We are the third car. The first car entered. The second car entered the estate. When my bro was about entering, the security man stopped us and was asking my bro who he wanted to see.
"My bro talking to the security man,asked him of his colleague,a fellow security there because he normally comes to the estate to see his friend. They know him there. He asked the security man of the colleague. The security man said the colleague is off duty. They asked my bro to call who he want to see in the estate.
"Along the process, my bro was calling the person that he wanted to see in the estate. Then, the military man in Army uniform came and he was asking my bro why he want to force himself inside the estate.
"My bro said No. He didn't want to force himself inside the estate that he stopped when the security man asked him to stop to confirm. Along the line, he was calling the person so that they will hear from the person he wanted to see in the estate. The military man was still asking him why he wanted to for e himself inside the estate that the first car have entered, the second car have entered and he want to follow the car to enter?
"My bro said No that we came alone. The military man said the way the car was entering we are driving behind the car. He said No that he was waiting for his turn.
"Luckily, the person picked the phone,when he was talking to the person, the military man said my bro should answer him why he was forcing himself inside. My bro said he should wait let him answer the person he want to see. The military man slapped him the first one. When my bro asked him why he slapped him, the military man slapped him again.
"We were five(5) in the car. My cousin brother who was in the passenger seat, came down asked the military man why he is slapping his brother like that. The military man grabbed my bro from the window of the car. He held his clothes and was still slapping him. My cousin bro asked the military man to leave him. Then, my bro came down from the car and he was still asking the military man why he was slapping him this. My cousin brother said he should leave him that he better kill him than kill my brother like that. The beatíng was too much. The military man just molesting us like that.
"Along the line, the junior officer on Army Uniform came out and was asking us why we are quarrelling with his super. We were trying to explain to him but he gave deaf ears. He was holding my Cousin the two security at the gate. They were holding us.
"The person that he wanted to see in the estate came out and was telling the military man, leave these people,they are my visitors!!!. The military man was still asking my bro, do you know who I am? Holding my bro.
