‎In the post, the alumni body expressed profound grief over her loss, describing her death as a painful blow to the hospital community.

‎“The entire BHUTH mourns. It is with a very heavy heart that we announce the passing of our dear colleague, Dr. Salome Oboyi, a Senior Resident in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, whose sad demise occurred two days ago following a battle with Lassa fever,” the statement read.
