Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has spoken about the health difficulties she has experienced in recent months, disclosing that she marked her 25th birthday in a wheelchair after battling intense pain and problems with movement.
The actress revealed this in a post on her Instagram page on Saturday, where she celebrated her birthday while reflecting on her continuing medical challenges.
Daniels explained that her condition deteriorated following a Children’s Day carnival she organised, adding that despite undergoing several medical examinations, she sometimes finds herself unable to walk.
She said, “I lost my freedom to move around as I please. It started as something minor but eventually led to this.
“Things took a major turn after the last public gathering that I held for my Children’s Day carnival.
“It’s been one test after another that I started calling myself a lab rat. The pain became too excruciating; sometimes I am walking well, and sometimes I just can’t move,” she said.
Her disclosure comes months after she became less active on social media, before a video emerged online allegedly showing her involved in a disagreement with her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, amid allegations of domestic violence.
