A heart-wrenching incident has unfolded at Lebechi Hospital in Owerri, Imo State, leaving a family in mourning.
According to a video shared by Nollywood producer Stanley Ontop @stanley_ontop , Onyekachi Eze, the bereaved husband, recounted his traumatic experience.
Eze explained that he had taken his wife, who was in labor, to the hospital, where doctors informed him that she required an emergency Caesarean section due to excessive bleeding.
However, what unfolded next was shocking. Eze described the moment he saw medical personnel watching YouTube videos on their phones during the procedure:
“Right in my presence, they were using their phones to watch a YouTube video on how to perform surgery. I lost my wife and my baby during the process”.
The incident has sparked widespread outrage, prompting swift action from law enforcement. The hospital’s owner has been arrested, and several nurses are being questioned.
In a follow-up video, Ontop confirmed the arrest:
“The owner of the hospital where doctors were watching YouTube on how to perform surgery has been arrested.”
A manhunt is currently underway to apprehend the doctors allegedly involved in the b0tch¢d surgery.
