INEC Declares Adeleke Winner Of Osun Governorship Election.

Adeleke, who contested on the platform of the Accord Party, polled 491,975 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress, who secured 425,731 votes.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Governor Ademola Adeleke the winner of the 2026 Osun State governorship election.

The declaration of the result was made by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Returning Officer, Prof Joshua Olalekan Ogunwole, who is also the Vice Chancellor, Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State, on Sunday morning.

Adeleke won the election after polling 511,067 votes against his opponent, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who polled 444,815 votes.

Najeem Salaam of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, scored 17,180 votes coming third on the ballot.

With this victory, Ademola Adeleke wins the mandate of the Osun electorate for a second term.

Recall that 15 political parties contested in the election, with the three top contenders in the Accord, APC and the ADC.
