Asari Dokubo has stated that he converted from Christianity to Islam 38 years ago and he has built five mosques since then.
In a video from 2:53 Dokubo shared on his Facebook account, he stated that he personally supports the mosques financially and allows people to come and pray there without collecting any money from them.
Dokubo explained that before becoming a Muslim, he was a Christian and even held leadership roles in church. He said he was a Bible study leader and a Sunday school teacher. He also said that he is currently married to a Christian
In Dokubo’s words: “I have been a Muslim for 38 years. I can beat my chest and say Muslims are better in all ramifications. Do Muslims sit down in the mosque and collect money from people? I have built 5 mosques, I am the one supporting the mosque amd people come to pray in the mosque. I don’t collect a dime from the mosque. And maybe you don’t know my history, I was a Bible study leader, I was a Sunday school teacher and I am married to Christians”.
