Speaking on Mr LilGaGa’s show, Bakare described the emotional torture she went through when her ex-husband refused to let her see their children. Whenever she tried to locate them, he would move them to another location.
The situation was designed to make her desperate enough to return to the marriage. Her ex-husband had too much ego to beg her to come back, so he used the children as leverage to force her return.
Laide Bakare said: “The father stole them from me. So I was looking for them. He would move them from one place to the other. You know when you just wanted to see your kids, you will go mad. So I was looking for them. I’ll get here, they say they are not there. I’ll call him, he won’t take calls. He said you will not see them except you come back. You know that he wants you to come back and he has so much ego he doesn’t want to beg.”
