The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State has officially announced Alhaja Kudirat Abiodun Adegunwa-Balogun as its Deputy Governorship Candidate for the forthcoming general election.
The announcement was contained in a statement issued by the party, which described her as a distinguished professional, accomplished administrator, and respected community leader with strong values of integrity, competence, and service.
According to the APC, her emergence reflects the party’s commitment to inclusive leadership, excellence, and sustainable development in Ogun State.
The party also confirmed that she will run alongside its governorship candidate, Senator Olamilekan Adeola Solomon, popularly known as “Yayi,” describing the pair as a formidable team capable of delivering purposeful governance and accelerated development across the state.
The APC expressed confidence that the ticket would strengthen its chances in the upcoming election, while urging party members, supporters, and residents of Ogun State to rally behind its candidates as preparations intensify ahead of the polls.
The party further congratulated Alhaja Adegunwa-Balogun on her nomination, describing it as well-deserved in view of her track record of leadership and public service.
Until her emergence as deputy governorship candidate, she served as an entrepreneur and Chief Financial Officer of Rite Foods Limited in Ososa, Ijebu, Ogun State.
She is the daughter of billionaire businessman and philanthropist, Alhaji Sulaiman Adebola Adegunwa, the Asiwaju of Ijebuland.
The 51-year-old chartered accountant, who hails from Ososa Ijebu, is widely regarded as a strong addition to the APC governorship ticket in Ogun State
