‎Police Told Me to Leave It to God After Robbers Took My Phones — Victim



‎Police – A man has raised concerns over public safety and alleged police misconduct after recounting his experience following a robbery incident in his neighbourhood.


‎The victim, who spoke anonymously, said his home was burgled, with laptops and mobile phones stolen.


‎He reported the case to the police, who, according to him, demanded money before taking his statement and requested that he name a suspect.


‎The victim stated that he no longer feels safe in the country, explaining that after his home was robbed and his laptop and phones were stolen, he reported the incident to the police.


‎He alleged that officers demanded money before taking his statement and asked him to identify a suspect.


‎He added that after mentioning his neighbour, the police arrested the individual and informed him of the accusation.


‎The victim further alleged that the situation escalated when he attempted to recover his stolen phone using tracking technology, but received no support from law enforcement officers.


‎He further explained that after tracking his phone, he returned to the police station and requested assistance to retrieve it, but was told to leave the matter to God.


‎He said he proceeded alone and claimed that upon arrival, the suspected robbers informed him that the police had already contacted them
