‎Satguru Maharaj Ji Calls for Sack of Abike Dabiri Over Alleged Derogatory Remarks

‎The founder of One Love Family, Satguru Maharaj Ji, has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to immediately relieve the Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Mrs. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, of her duties over alleged derogatory remarks attributed to her against the Igbo ethnic group.

‎In a statement issued on Thursday, Maharaj Ji condemned the alleged comments describing Igbos as “monkeys, children of gorillas, and bastards,” calling them “highly repugnant, divisive, and unacceptable.”

‎He said such remarks, if true, were unbecoming of a public official and capable of causing deep divisions and political instability in the country

‎“What could have driven Abike Dabiri to make such reckless and outrageous utterances? This level of insensitivity is intolerable. Nigeria’s pluralism and diversity must be protected at all costs,” Maharaj Ji stated.

‎The spiritual leader accused Dabiri of engaging in what he described as “a political strategy to create disaffection in the polity and destabilize the government if unchecked.” He urged the President to act swiftly to prevent further damage to national unity.

‎“Abike Dabiri should be sacked to serve as a deterrent to others who may display such recklessness, lawlessness, and indiscipline,” he added.

‎Maharaj Ji further referenced an article published in The Punch on September 9, 2025, where columnist Azuka Onwuka questioned why Dabiri-Erewa still held a federal position despite past controversies surrounding her public statements.

‎He warned that such utterances could inflame ethnic tensions, particularly between the Yoruba and Igbo communities, and urged Nigerians to embrace peace, unity, and mutual respect.

‎“We need peace and a united Nigeria, not haters and troublemakers,” Maharaj Ji declared. “Long live President Tinubu, and long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
