‎‎Terror in Kwara: Bandits Abduct Pregnant Woman, Nursing Mothers, and Children in Isapa.


‎Terror gripped Isapa community in the Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State on Monday evening as armed bandits launched a brutal attack, abducting a pregnant woman, two nursing mothers, ten children, and several others.

‎The raid occurred around 6 pm on November 24, 2025, when an estimated 20 to 30 heavily armed men stormed the town, advancing with a large herd of cattle and firing sporadically, leaving residents in panic. An elderly woman was struck by a stray bullet during the assault.

‎Community leaders confirmed that 11 people were abducted, including seven members of a single family. Among the kidnapped are Talatu Kabiru, Magaji, Kande, Hadiza, Mariam, Saima, Habibat, Fatima Yusufu, Sarah Sunday (pregnant), Lami Fidelis (nursing mother), and Haja Na Allah.

‎Eyewitnesses described scenes of chaos as the gunmen moved through the town, leaving multiple bullet holes in walls and doors. Authorities recovered spent AK-47 shells scattered across the community after the attackers fled.

‎Isapa, located a short distance from Eruku, has seen a wave of such violent incidents in recent weeks. In a previous attack in Eruku, terrorists stormed a branch of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), killing three worshippers and abducting several others, including the pastor.

‎Sources revealed that during the church attack, gunmen opened fire suddenly, causing worshippers to flee in terror. Three individuals were shot dead on the spot, while others were seized at gunpoint and marched into nearby bush paths connecting Eruku to surrounding communities. The assailants escaped, leaving residents traumatized and fearful.

‎These successive attacks have plunged communities in the Ekiti Local Government Area into fear, raising urgent concerns over the safety of residents and the need for swift security interventions.
